            Today, we woke up from our overnight cruise on the ferry and arrived in Crete.  After our hearty breakfast, we left the ship and embarked on a tour in Knossos.  It was extremely hot; however, being the keen and educated students we are, we paid close attention throughout and learned many historical and cultural facts about the area.  Luckily, we were able to avoid most of the heat as we finished our tour before 10:00 A.M.  We then departed towards the Iberostar Hermes Hotel.  Our first impressions of the hotel and its surrounding area were that the food was amazing, the view was incredible and the locals were very inviting and affable.  After enjoying the nice weather and extensive buffet, we went out and explored the town.  We then came home to some upbeat Greek music, which filled our ears with joyous sounds of euphoria.  Later on, we did some English work and finally retired to our beds to gain energy for the next arduous day.
